Panhandlers argue over sign duty

Sunday afternoon, a caller reported seeing a tall guy yelling at a smaller guy on Hutton Ranch Road. The two men were panhandlers arguing over who was going to hold a sign. They were advised of city ordinances by the Kalispell Police Department.

Officers were advised of a woman on Kelly Road who keeps getting prank letters.

A man at Seventh Avenue East North and East Oregon Street complained about a subject blasting music. The man said he couldn’t even sit in his own house because it was “soooooo loud.” An officer responded and the music was turned down.

A gas leak was reported on Ninth Avenue West.

Early Sunday morning, someone reported a man passed out in front of a business on First Avenue East North.

A caller reported two men being belligerent and refusing to pay their bill at a restaurant on East Idaho Street. The two men had a friend come pay for their meal and were advised not to return to the restaurant.

Vehicles were broken into on Kara Drive.

A woman said she went through a restaurant drive-through and never got her father’s credit card back. She suspected an employee stole it.

Saturday night, three girls were cited and released for minor in possession of alcohol when police responded to a report of an underage drinking party on Hawthorn Avenue.

Two purses were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Stillwater Lane.

Someone reported a sewer lift station on Westland Drive that was beeping and making lots of noise.

Polson Police Department officers arrested someone for criminal contempt Saturday on Fourth Avenue West.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested someone for possession of alcohol or an intoxicant early Saturday morning at U.S. 93 and Old Highway 93.

Disorderly conduct was reported at the jail later that afternoon.

Whitefish Police responded to a report of a burglary on Central Avenue Saturday morning.

Harassment was reported on Ashar Avenue.

Someone on Hospital Way reported a missing person.

Animal cruelty was reported on Spokane Avenue.

Saturday night, officers responded to a report of a fight on Central Avenue.

Early Sunday morning, someone reported criminal mischief on West Sixth Street.

Over the weekend, thefts were reported on Lakeside Boulevard, Central Avenue and U.S. 93.

Saturday, a Martha Road man told the Columbia Falls Police Department that a girl stole his daughter’s iPod and gave it back a couple hours later. The man wanted the girl’s parents told. An officer said he would contact the girl’s mother.

An intoxicated pedestrian was arrested on Ninth Street West.
