Theater group holds social

| August 8, 2012 7:00 PM

The Bigfork Community Players will host a gathering from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Bigfork Senior Center.

The August social will include a special program presented by Monique Kleinhans, a freelance director and performer and core member of the Seattle-based company Theater Simple. Kleinhans has toured and taught across North America and internationally.

The social will also include information about Bigfork Community Players’ upcoming productions and ways to become involved, such as ushering, working in the box office, set design and construction, makeup and wardrobe design, props, helping backstage, advertising, acting and more.

No theater experience is necessary, and all are welcome. Bigfork Community Players is an amateur group of members devoted to community members — not to be confused with the professional Bigfork Summer Playhouse.

The players will provide beer, wine and soft drinks at the social. Guests are asked to bring hors d’oeuvres to share.

The senior center is located at 639 Commerce St. For more information, email the Bigfork Community Players at bigforkcommunityplayers@gmail.com.
