Cops called over unruly youths

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to several calls regarding youthful shenanigans, including a group of 40 youths jumping off a bridge, a group of 30 teenagers littering and loitering, and a pair of 16-year-old boys riding their bicycles over pallets and unrolling several feet of wire at a business on Cooperative Way.

Several people, at least one of whom was wearing a mask, were chased out of a business on U.S. 2 East after deputies responded to a burglary alarm.

A man reportedly left his home in Columbia Falls smelling like alcohol, sped away with a 2-year-old in his vehicle, and then showed up at another person’s house, where he broke random boards and other items.

A resident of Kelley Road in Columbia Falls reported finding child pornography on her husband’s computer.

A motorist on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell reported another motorist was weaving in and out of traffic, had nearly hit her car, and then pulled a gun and aimed it at her husband.

A man pulled a gun on another man on U.S. 93 South in Lakeside, putting it in his face and telling him if he wasn’t out of his house tomorrow, he would kill him.

A man flashed a gun at another person on U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse before getting in his car and leaving.

A Hodgson Road resident in Columbia Falls reported possible drug dealing going on in the area. A woman waiting in a car was told she was not welcome at that location and asked not to return.

Deputies received a fax reporting “a lot of activity” on Beach Road in Bigfork. The fax noted that when there is a lot of activity, “trouble is brewing.”

A man was reported getting out of his car and trying to kill a deer with a bow.

A dog got over a six-foot fence on Valley Drive and attempted to attack several chickens.

An Emerald Cove resident called with questions about neighbors lighting off fireworks.

A man turned himself in on a warrant out of Iowa for robbing a cellphone store.

A purse was stolen on East Reserve Drive.

A license plate was reported stolen on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of an exhibitionist couple having sex on a hill in Woodland Park.

A man was arrested after it was reported that he choked a pregnant woman in a residence on Fifth Avenue West, also shoving her onto a dresser and holding her down.

A boy was apprehended after two boys were reported going through vehicles on Taelor Road.

A woman was reported for driving fast through a neighborhood, getting out at a house on Teal Drive, throwing large rocks at a man and striking his motorcycle and then leaving.

A woman was counseled after doing burnouts in a parking lot off U.S. 2 West.

An all-terrain vehicle was abandoned on North Main Street near its intersection with Idaho Street.

Two men and two women were reported going through vehicles on Greatview Drive. They split up and ran when approached by a resident.

A Fifth Avenue East resident reported an ongoing problem with a dog coming through his fence, and said that the dogs had come out and “chewed up his dog.”

A woman reported someone stole $1,000 from her purse.

A set of golf clubs were stolen on Second Avenue West.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of several men racing cars on Fourth Avenue West, and then getting in a fight and screaming at each other.

A raft was returned to its owner after being stolen on 13th Street West. A Sixth Street West resident reported he had bought it and believed it was stolen.

Whitefish Police officers arrested a person during a traffic stop on East Eighth Street.

A vehicle was stolen on East First Street.

A theft was reported on Central Avenue.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of drug manufacturing on Crane Mountain Road in Ferndale.

A black 1998 Honda Accord was reported stolen on Fulkerson Lane in Polson.

A vehicle was burglarized on Cutting Horse Lane in Polson.
