Micheal Timothy Conner, 64

| August 10, 2012 5:22 PM

Mike, as his friends and family knew him, was born in Ogden, Utah, on Oct. 21, 1947, to Lonie T. Conner and Thelma Powell.

Mike spent every summer as a child at his mother’s family homestead on Lake McDonald in what is now Glacier National Park. He had planned on retiring at the family cabin year round. But plans were cut short by his untimely death on June 19, 2012.

After spending time in the Army, Mike moved permanently to the Flathead Valley. Mike worked at various jobs until he went to work for Flathead Industries as a truck driver. He worked there for 20 years.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, L.T. Conner; stepfather, Ace Powell; and stepbrother, Eddy Powell.

Surviving Mike are his mother, Thelma; the lady in his life, Lei Lani Hancock; stepbrother, David; stepsisters, Krista and Allison; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a potluck remembrance for Mike at the Kalispell Eagles club on his birthday, Sunday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
