Jack Allen, 68

| August 11, 2012 5:34 PM

“Death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.

The dawn came early in the morning, July 14, 2012, when our dearest Husband, Father, Pappa entered the avenues where there are mansions beyond compare.”

Jack was born on June 10, 1944.

Jack battled several illnesses over the past few years while living in the desert in Yuma, Ariz.

He will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Darlene, of Yuma; daughter, Juli, and Jamie King and grandchildren, Jake and Jordyn, of Coram; and son, John Allen, and fiancee, KeRene Keller and grandchildren, Casey, Emmaleah and Haylynne of Kuna, Idaho. Other special people in Jack's life included his godchild, Dr. Lindsey Moore, and also Ami Phines, Chelsea Rogers, Stephanie Quigley, and A. Darleen Allen, of Arizona and Montana; Jane Stevens, Skip and Boni Stout, Marilee Pritchett, and Butch and Cindy Rogers; all his pinochle-playing, camping and U-Haul driving friends of Kalispell; Elton Johnson of Pony.; DeeDee Murray of Portland; the Allen Richards family of Yuma; Fatima Pinheiro of Yuma; and his nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dear little kitty cat, "Joi."

We could go on and on about Jack's education history, work history, accomplishments and the fact that to know Jack was to love him. We will instead say, “Until we meet again, so long.”

A celebration of Jack's life will be in the early summer of 2013, in Pony.
