Ruth E. McClinton, 94

| August 15, 2012 9:10 AM

Ruth E. McClinton, 94, “entered into eternal life” on Aug. 11, 2012, in the loving care of Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. She suffered from Alzheimer's for eight years.

She spent most of her working life in clerical work until she retired. Ruth was born in Gleeson, Ariz., on Feb. 8, 1918, to Fred and Etta Williams. She spent her younger years in Arizona.

Ruth met John W. Erickson and from that marriage came two sons, Karl and Fred. They moved to California in 1944 and later divorced. She later met Harry H. McClinton and they married in November of 1961. They moved to Montana in April of 1982. Unfortunately, Harry passed away in November of that same year.

She is survived by two sons, Karl E. Erickson and wife Joyce of Kalispell, and Fred A. Erickson and wife Pam of Simi Valley, Calif. She had three grandchildren, John Erickson of Simi Valley, Calif., Mrs. Amy Kilionski and husband Steve of New York, and Mrs. Tracy Toavs and husband Ed of Huson; and nine great-grandchildren.

We wish to thank Immanuel Lutheran Home for their devotion and loving care of Ruth.

At her request, there will be no service. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
