A pair of Kalispell residents pleaded guilty Thursday in Flathead District Court to felony burglary charges.

Mandi Anderson and Derrick Jackson, both 26, burglarized the Buffalo Hill Drive home of Anderson’s uncle on April 10.

Jackson was arrested at the scene while Anderson was arrested one week later after being reported by her mother for taking her car and then again for returning to the home.

Anderson’s attorney tried to get her charge reduced to theft, but attorneys with the Flathead County Attorney’s Office refused. She faces up to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $50,000.

According to the plea agreement Jackson signed, a suspended sentence will be recommended for him.

Both Anderson’s and Jackson’s sentencing hearings are scheduled for Oct. 9.
