Trespassers threaten landowner

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a call Sunday from a Spotted Bear Road resident in Martin City who said that several men cussed at him and threatened to beat him up after he told them to quit trespassing on his property.

A wallet with money, a digital camera and other items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on First Avenue Northwest in Hungry Horse.

A person reported witnessing a bald man with a goatee smash the window of a vehicle and then walk away on Holt Stage Road.

A man calling from Sweebee Lane in the Columbia Falls area reported finding his door busted in after being away for a week. It was unclear if anything was taken from the residence.

A woman calling from Solberg Drive reported that her ex-boyfriend threatened to burn down her house, kill the dog and throw her belongings outside. An extra patrol was dispatched to the area.

Soon after being served with a restraining order, a man showed up at his wife’s place on Badger Hollow Trail in the Marion area, threatened to kill her and gathered up some guns before leaving.

There was a report from a Helena Flats Road address regarding the theft of a purse and cellphone.

A woman reported that she allowed her boyfriend to use her truck and that he was supposed to give it back after they broke up in May, but he did not, and she is now unsure where he lives.

There was a report of someone driving a red Humvee very recklessly on U.S. 93 south of Kalispell, apparently forcing several vehicles to pull over.

There was a report from Witty Lane in the Columbia Falls area regarding a man beating a dog with a baseball bat. A responding deputy advised him of cruelty to animals laws, and the man claimed he disciplined his dog with the flat side of a ruler.

A woman reported that her unwanted father threw a chair at her and was refusing to leave her house on Cougar Trail in the Whitefish area. She left the place until a deputy showed up to tell the father to leave and not return that night.

There was a report of someone stealing beer from a convenience store on U.S. 2 west of Columbia Falls.

Early Monday, at about 12:40 a.m., there was a report of a group of kids messing with a vacant trailer on Conrad Drive. A responding deputy ended up arresting a girl on warrants.

A man called Kalispell Police from a Third Avenue East address Sunday to ask how much trouble he will be in for destroying his boyfriend’s property after he found out the boyfriend was cheating on him.

A security guard at Kalispell Regional Medical Center reported finding a marijuana pipe in a patient’s purse.

There was a report of a 16-year-old boy being beat up by three other boys after the boy left the fair Saturday night. It turned out to be a fight over a girl.

There was a report of a squirrel with a broken leg stuck in a window well at a First Avenue East residence. The squirrel was successfully rescued.

There was a report of people in a gold suburban stealing a trailer that was parked on Kelly Road.

A manager of a restaurant on U.S. 93 North reported that an ex-employee entered the building and threatened another employee.

Someone reported seeing an intoxicated man lying in the road on Third Avenue East North. The man got up and stumbled off.

A Third Avenue East resident reported that an intoxicated neighbor was trying to enter vehicles in the area.

Monday, a 15-year-old boy called from a Fourth Avenue East address to report that his dad beat him up. The father said his son has mental disabilities and was out of control.

There was a report of all tires slashed on a vehicle on Fourth Avenue West and Fifth Street West.

Columbia Falls Police got a criminal mischief report Sunday regarding a fence that had been damaged on Talbot Road.
