Marcie Rosetta (Sindt) Curto, 78

| August 21, 2012 6:13 PM

Marcie Rosetta (Sindt) Curto passed away Aug. 2, 2012, in her daughter’s arms with tears, prayers to Jehovah and singing to her “You Are My Sunshine.”

Marcie was born in a little cabin outside of Bigfork on Aug. 28, 1933. She was one of 10 children born to Martin and Louise Sindt, a humble beginning that continued throughout her life — however, she was rich with a lifetime of love, kindness and the most generous spirit of giving.

Marcie spent ages 8 to 12 at the Montana Orphans Home in Twin Bridges. She then returned to the Flathead Valley.

Marcie raised her three children in Kalispell, working hard to provide the necessities of life. She was a very valued employee, working as a bartender with an outstanding work ethic and well respected by the public and friends.

Marcie loved her later-in-life career choices while working at Mission Mountain Enterprises in Polson where she met and assisted her special friend, Wally Gardipe.

When Marcie returned to Kalispell in 2006, she loved working at Flathead Industries until her health declined and she unfortunately was unable to assist her special friends any longer. A day never went by that she was not dressed and ready to go to work!

Marcie’s greatest happiness was spending time with her family and friends, who were many! Everyone enjoyed her infectious smile and laughter. Marcie loved to read and recently read the entire Bible — Genesis to Revelation — and started over for a second time.

Her parents, Martin and Louise Sindt, preceded Marcie in death; also three sons, Vernon Bowman, Anthony Gene Bolduc, and infant son, Gordon Bolduc; four brothers, Vernon, Wesley, Gordon and Lewis; and four sisters, Marjorie, Gladys, Darlene and Marlene.

Her daughter, Vickie (Altenburg) Goodman, survives Marcie; also grandsons, Vickie’s two sons, Shawn and wife Heather, and Shannon “Goob” and wife Kym Altenburg; Vernon’s two sons, Vernon and Cody Bowman;  Gene’s four children, Sonya, James, Jennifer and Cole; sister, Jean Orr; and in addition, many more beautiful family members.

Marcie loved her many family and friends unconditionally. Please cherish the memories, courage and optimistic attitude that Marcie set as an example for all!

A very special and heartfelt “Thank You” to the many medical professionals who contributed their unwavering labors of love through Marcie’s many complicated medical challenges over the past nine years.

A memorial and celebration of Marcie’s life will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26, at the Garden Courtyard at Snappy Sport Senter in Kalispell.

In lieu of flowers please forward any gifts of remembrance/contributions for expenses and charities that assisted the family throughout Marcie’s medical care to: Vickie Goodman, P.O. Box 1326, Kalispell, MT 59903.
