Guns stolen in brazen burglary

Kalispell Police officers responded to a home on Eighth Avenue West that was burglarized in broad daylight. Two shotguns were stolen from the home.

A drunk man on Glenwood Drive reported his girlfriend, also drunk, was slapping him around after they began arguing about her alcoholism.

An Airport Road resident reported hearing what sounded like four or five people fighting, but it turned out to be just one young man in a fit of rage.

A woman walked into a business on First Street West and threatened to slit someone’s throat before starting to shove people, then leaving.

A homeless man was discovered sleeping in the hallway of a U.S. 93 South hotel near the front desk.

A man reported that a pit bull tried nipping at him on Fifth Street West, so he sprayed it with water, and it ran off.

A West Center Street man reported someone put motor oil in his brake reservoir.

A license plate was stolen from a vehicle on Salem Street.

A mail carrier reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that a Middle Road resident in Columbia Falls sent a dog to chase her. The report was believed to be unfounded.

A man reported he gave his broken-down truck to a man in Hungry Horse to fix, and now it is ruined.

An upset man reported his truck had been “cleaned out,” that someone had stolen his day pack and duffel bag. He hung up on the dispatcher after being rude and yelling.

Deputies arrested a man on Second Avenue West for violating a restraining order.

An approximately 20-year-old man was reported giving beer to three teenage girls on Lakeside Boulevard in Lakeside.

A man was seen going through four mailboxes on West Cottonwood Drive.

Indecent exposure was reported on South Main Street.

Someone broke a window on a vehicle on Antelope Trail in Whitefish.

Several fishing rods were stolen from a Shady Lane home.
