Two men were killed in vehicle accidents Friday in Flathead and Lincoln counties.

A 36-year-old Marion man was found dead after crashing his vehicle early Friday morning near Marion.

Travis Morgan Cano was ejected from his vehicle when it rolled off Pleasant Valley Road. The accident was reported shortly before 2 a.m. when the vehicle was seen by a passing motorist.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Cano was northbound on Pleasant Valley Road when he lost control of his minivan on a right-hand, downhill turn. The van rolled several times.

Cano was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Eureka-area man was killed after wrecking his tractor-trailer 11 miles north of Libby on Montana 37.

According to a news release from the Montana Highway Patrol, the driver was southbound on the highway when, the vehicle slowly drifted off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected, causing the fully loaded trailer to tip and separate from the tractor and dump its entire load of cargo onto the road, blocking it completely.

The driver overcorrected again after losing the trailer, with the tractor rolling once down an embankment and coming to rest on its wheels.

He was wearing his seat belt and speed, alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, which shut down the highway for 4 1/2 hours.

The driver’s name and the identity of the company involved are being withheld pending notification of family members.
