Belligerent man had a few too many

A Flathead County Sheriff’s deputy did a walk-through at a U.S. 2 West business in Columbia Falls after there was a report of a belligerent man. The deputy discovered the man was not belligerent, just drunk. The man was told he needed to contact a friend or family member for a ride. He then asked if he would get a ride to jail if he punched someone in the face. The man was advised not to punch anyone.

The business manager of a lumber company on U.S. 93 South called about an employee who stole from the company, reporting he was not sure if the owner wanted charges pursued or not. He said he would call back within a day to give the owner’s final opinion.

A pair of hungry youngsters ran out of a Montclair Drive hotel with the business’ entire stock of breakfast supplies.
