No fried chickens in coop fire

A chicken coop caught fire on Rocky Lane early Sunday morning. One of the chickens knocked over a heat lamp and started the fire, which the homeowner extinguished. Columbia Falls Fire Department responded with thermal imaging gear to make sure the fire was out. No chickens died, Chief Rick Hagen said.

Saturday, a Fifth Avenue East man asked Kalispell Police if it’s OK for him to throw all of his wife’s belongings out of the house if he knows she’s out “screwing around” with someone.

A caller reported a man buying vodka and giving it to a juvenile outside a store on Third Avenue East North.
