Painter leads Crits and Croissants

| December 5, 2012 5:00 PM

Painter Shelle Lindholm leads December’s Crits and Croissants artists forum at the Hockaday Museum of Art.

The forum gives those who create art a chance to have their work reviewed by professionals. It takes place in the Kalispell museum’s classroom from 10:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 8.

Lindholm’s work is known for its earthy textures, stylized animal forms and unique sense of color. Artists wishing to amp up their use of color or move away from realism may find this Crits and Croissants session particularly useful.

Participants of Lindholm’s two-day workshop, which was held at the Hockaday in November, are invited back to share works influenced by what they learned in class.

Artists 15 years of age and older may bring one or more pieces of their recently created artwork for critique while enjoying coffee and croissants. There is a $5 fee for members, $7 for nonmembers.

Crits and Croissants is held every second Saturday of the month, September through May. For more information, call 755-5268, visit www.hockadaymuseum.org or stop by the museum at 302 Second Ave. E., Kalispell.
