Francis Allen Schwenke, 65

Francis Allen Schwenke passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012.

Francis was born in Kalispell on Jan. 25, 1947, to Herbert Leonard Schwenke and Martha Jane Chapman.

He and his wife Carol of 28 years have spent their retirement years traveling. Before Francis retired he spent most of his life as a logger.

Francis served in the Montana National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Krause; sons, John Lotze and James Lotze; and daughter, Beverly Schwenke.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; four sons, Allen Schwenke and his wife Arlene, Glen Schwenke and his wife Meggan, Joe Lotze and his wife Jan, and Jesse Lotze and his wife Barbara; and daughter, Valerie Gathagan and her husband Travis; his brothers, Bill Schwenke and Wayne Schwenke; and his sisters, Lois Jackson, Florence Rhodes, Barbara Dougherty and her husband Bing, Irene Ferguson, Shirley Shipp and her husband Clyde, and Rosalie Schwenke. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Francis loved his family and enjoyed camping, horseshoes, shooting, watching Nascar, and his beloved Seahawks and Mariners. He also enjoyed the annual family campouts in Montana, California and Idaho. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.

 In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Danekas Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am in Colville, Wash.
