End of the world parties pump up the volume

The Kalispell Police Department received multiple noise complaints related to an end of the world party at the Flathead County Fairgrounds Friday night.

Reports of bass vibrating walls came in from Two Mile Drive, Seventh Avenue West North, West Oregon Street and Hearst Drive.

A drunk, hallucinating 23-year-old man wearing only underwear agreed to go to bed for the night after he was reported to police for being combative at a Fourth Avenue West residence.

Partying, prostitution and drug activity were reported at an Airport Road residence.

A cab driver was assaulted by a man in front of a First Avenue West bar after the man became angry the taxi was not there for him. He punched the cab driver, leaving a scratch below his eye.

A Fifth Avenue East woman reported her daughter received a text from her ex-boyfriend reading “I am going to kill you.”

A U.S. 93 North woman received a text from her boyfriend saying he was going to slice her throat, then the kid’s throat, then his own.

Officers tracked down a truck after a Seventh Avenue West resident reported someone hit a tree in the front yard, uprooting it. The license plate number of the truck was embedded in the tree and part of the tree was still stuck in the front of the truck.

A Hawthorn Avenue property manager reported a bullet came through one apartment into another.

A 14-year-old girl was apprehended and returned to her mother after the mother reported the girl had run away from the Fourth Avenue West home.

Some curious children found syringes and aluminum foil in an Appleway Drive parking lot.

A woman was arrested following a report of suspicious activity at a North Meridian Road property.


A sleepy burglar was arrested by Whitefish Police Department officers after entering a Greenwood Drive home and passing out on a couch while the residents were upstairs.

A man was reported to police after becoming irate with staff, cursing and yelling, then throwing pens at the front desk staff after he was unable to be seen by a doctor on Baker Avenue.

A woman reported her ex-boyfriend’s cousin beat her up on Central Avenue.

A man was released after being detained for being disorderly at a Central Avenue bar.

A pair of seemingly drunken men were reported jumping into the road in front of cars.

A disorderly man was reported yelling at a clerk at a U.S. 93 South business.

A credit card was stolen from a wallet at a Central Avenue business.


A boy was apprehended by a Columbia Falls Police Department officer before being transported to another residence when he was initially apprehended by a Second Avenue East resident who found the boy in his back yard with other youths who had been stealing things.

A boy reported his grandfather pushed his mother down on Frontage Road. It was later determined that after an argument, the mother went after the grandfather and slipped on ice.


Polson Police Department officers arrested a person for criminal contempt at KwaTaqNuk Casino Resort.


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft from buildings on Round Butte Road.
