Reckless driver smashes into pole

Kalispell Police got a report Thursday from a person who witnessed a person driving a Chevy Blazer recklessly, smashing into a telephone pole at Idaho and Second Avenue East North. The driver fled the scene and could not be located.

A woman stopped in at the police station to report that her wallet fell off of her vehicle in a grocery store parking lot, and since then someone has been using her credit cards.

There was a report of stereo equipment stolen from a home on Fairway Boulevard sometime in the last couple of days.

There was a report of an extremely intoxicated man walking around the Ninth Avenue West area with no shirt or shoes, knocking on doors and cars.

Early Friday, at about 2 a.m., a woman calling from Second Avenue East reported that someone had been in her home and items had been stolen.

There was a report of a cellphone stolen at a party on Leisure Drive.

Whitefish Police got a report Thursday from a man on Iowa Avenue who said his girlfriend struck him in the head with a cellphone, causing him to bleed.

Early Friday, at about 1:30 a.m., a man calling from a Central Avenue bar reported he was being threatened by two people who said they would beat him up unless he gave them a ride.

Columbia Falls Police got a report Thursday from a man who said a winter jacket and other items, including identification and money, were stolen from his vehicle while parked at a store on Ninth Street West.

There was a report of an out-of-control resident at the veterans home who barricaded himself in a room. The man eventually calmed down.
