Man reports 9mm handgun was stolen

A Rose Crossing resident came home to find his house ransacked and reported it to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. He had left his house locked that morning, but found a broken window with blood on it and discovered his Texas MAC-10 9 mm handgun was missing.

A drunk man was removed from the lobby of a business on Depot Street in Whitefish after he refused to leave and cursed at an employee.

A resident of Dorothy Street in Columbia Falls was told there was no noise ordinance in his area after reporting someone setting off fireworks for a half hour.

A shoplifting girl was released to her parent after being apprehended at a store on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

An ongoing theft problem was reported on U.S. 93 South in Kalispell.

A man reported someone shot out his car windows on Terrace Hill in Bigfork.

The Kalispell Police Department was called to a bank on West Idaho Street after employees noticed a customer rummaging through an office and taking pictures.

Two people were reported trying to break into the rear of a building on U.S. 2 East, but officers were unable to locate them. It is believed they were also involved in a trespass complaint at a hotel.

A woman in a denim jacket tried to fill a forged prescription at a pharmacy on Second Avenue West.

Someone stole and cashed a man’s payroll check while he was incarcerated.

Someone reported a surround-sound system stolen that belonged to him was pawned at a shop on West Idaho Street.

An electric substation on Grandview Drive was defaced with graffiti.

A man being struck by his wife contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department, which responded to the Seventh Street West home. While on the phone with dispatch, the caller used “extreme profanities,” and when asked if he could lock the door while she was outside told them he wasn’t afraid of his wife. The woman was subsequently arrested.

A resident of Second Avenue West reported children going door-to-door selling magazines, saying they believed it was a scam.

Electronic equipment was reported stolen on 13th Street West.
