Eureka sends 7 to state B-C wrestling

For Eureka's wrestling team, it's just like last year in terms of state qualifiers.

The Lions, led by four divisional champions, will again have seven grapplers on the mats today and Saturday in Billings for the B-C tournament.

They are: divisional champs Garret White (105), Zach Durden (112), Nikko Bakkila (119) and Jose Letcher (135).

Finishing fourth were: Levi Lambertson (125), Ashton Dierman (145) and Curtis McDuffie (152).

The top four placers from all four divisionals advance.

Bakkila was a divisional champion last year at 112 pounds.

McDuffie also finished fourth at the same weight class last year at divisionals.

Eureka wound up 13th at state last year with 52 points.

Forsyth is the defending B-C state champs. Last year the Dogiers tallied 194 1/2 points.
