Sweet tooth strikes at ice-cream stand

A sweet tooth without a conscience was reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after someone stole items from a mobile ice-cream stand on U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse.

An extremely intoxicated man had a hard time Monday, when it is reported he was thrown out of a bar on U.S. 2 East in Coram before driving into a ditch and over a yield sign.

It was an unhappy birthday party for a photographer on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell, when a digital video camera — valued at $1,000 — and a lens were stolen.

A Martin City man reported that his wife was contacted by someone claiming to be an agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency who said agents were coming to her Martin Road home to arrest her in connection with a U.S. Border Patrol incident. The man said he contacted the Border Patrol and found it was a scam. He was afraid the people who called her were still going to show up and attempt to arrest her.

A boy was arrested for partner or family member assault and transported to the Flathead County Juvenile Detention Center after a fight with his mother on Angel Ridge Road in Lakeside.

A boy on Moose Street in Coram was arrested for assault, which was also an apparent violation of his probation.

A piano was reported stolen on Eckelberry Drive in Columbia Falls.

A garage on Many Lakes Drive in Creston was reported burglarized.

A fence was reported vandalized on East Evergreen Drive in Evergreen.

Picking up last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts is not a crime but when you don’t pay for them, it is. According to a report filed with Kalispell Police Department, a woman stole books, candy, cards and other items from a store on U.S 93 South before leaving in a black 1999 Ford F-150.

A Fifth Avenue resident reported her 18-year-old son stole about $200 from her.

A purse, a cell phone, money and credit cards were reported stolen from a locked truck parked near the ice rink in Woodland Park, where a thief had tampered with the truck’s slider window. Another vehicle was found broken into nearby.

Dumpsters were reported vandalized, chains and locks stolen and trash left behind on Fourth Avenue East.

A man in a white car drove away from an East Idaho Street gas station without paying for $43.56 worth of gas.

An extension cord was stolen from in front of an Aurich Avenue house.

A resident of a Martha Road home reported to the Columbia Falls Police Department that someone staying as a guest stole money.

A theft was also reported on South Veteran Drive.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of criminal mischief on Central Avenue.

The Polson Police Department received a report of theft from a health-care provider.
