Paintball bandits strike Aurich Avenue

Sunday afternoon, a caller on Aurich Avenue reported to the Kalispell Police Department that his garage door and siding were struck by paintballs.

Earlier in the day, a man called police to ask for his knife back. He said an officer took it Saturday night when he was in an accident.

A man visited the lobby to report that someone stole $5,000 from him Saturday night, as well as his shoes and his pickup truck. According to police reports, the man had been found on Sixth Avenue West Saturday night and taken to jail for criminal mischief, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Sunday morning, someone reported the ashtrays on the walls outside the mall had been pulled off. Earlier in the morning, someone reported glass kicked in at a store in the mall. Someone reported a rock thrown through a window at the mall.

An employee on East Idaho Street reported three people fighting in a car.

A 24-year-old man had a gash on his forehead after a small, blonde female hit him with a glass at a bar.

A caller on Ninth Avenue West reported four unknown people on the porch smoking something. Police were unable to locate the smokers.

Late Saturday night, a caller on Jackson Peak Drive said someone keeps ringing the doorbell and running off. Whoever is doing it also knocked over the welcome bear on the porch.

Earlier that evening, a man on First Avenue East said he has been having a dispute with a neighbor over juveniles spotlighting him with laser pens. They were spotlighting his daughter in her room as well.

A man on Appleway Drive told police his ex-girlfriend stole the license plate off his vehicle to try and get him ticketed.

Someone reported seeing a child on the lap of an adult driver in a car at a fast food drive-through, and not in a car seat.

The manager of a hotel on Main Street reported a man and a woman soliciting money from customers in the parking lot. The man has been kicked out of the swimming pool and hotel and has been there off and on for the last week. Police told the subjects not to return.

Saturday afternoon, a woman on First Avenue West told police she was chased by her parents and hiding out in a bar. She said she was scared and didn't know what they wanted or where they live. Police counseled both parties.

Saturday afternoon, a driver from Alberta told the Columbia Falls Police Department he was being followed by someone he passed who seemed to be angry. Police spoke with the men, both from Alberta.

A woman on Ninth Avenue West told police that her son was attacked last summer. He was 18 at the time. She said she's not sure what happened, but it left him with brain damage, deafness in one ear, paralysis of his vocal cords and damage to his eyes. The medical people believe it stemmed from the assault, she said.

Someone on Flathead Avenue reported a fraud to the Whitefish Police Department Saturday morning.

Suspicious activity was reported on Fairway Drive.

Early Saturday morning, the Ronan Police Department arrested someone for endangering, abandonment and neglect in a motel parking lot.

Polson Police Department arrested someone for driving under the influence after stopping a car on Main Street early Saturday morning.

That afternoon, someone was arrested for disorderly conduct at Polson Tribal Health.

Saturday evening, someone was arrested for driving under the influence at Skyline Drive and J B Drive.
