Bigfork trounces Loyola at Western B
HAMILTON - Ian Lorang scored 13 points and Cody Dopps added 11 as the Bigfork Vikings rolled past Loyola 58-38 in the first round of the Western B Divisional basketball tournament on Wednesday.
The Vikings led 24-18 at half and 36-29 after three quarters, then really turned on the offense with a 22-point fourth period.
Bigfork, led by Dopps and Jackson Boese with six apiece, outrebounded the Rams 37-27.
Next up for Bigfork is a 7:30 p.m. semifinal matchup tonight with District 6B Florence.
Florence defeated Thompson Falls 39-24 earlier in the day.

HAMILTON - Ryan Holder scored 26 points in a losing effort for the Eureka Lions on Wednesday at the Western B Divisional basketball tournament.
Deer Lodge downed the Lions 60-53.
Deer Lodge got off to a great start, outscoring Eureka 16-7 in the first period. It was 27-18 at half and 41-33 after three quarters.
Tanner Peterson and Tanner Blankers added eight points each for the Lions, who fall into loser-out play at 9:40 a.m. versus Troy.
