Likely joke of questionable taste

A security guard at a bank in Kalispell reported a not-so-suspicious customer to the Kalispell Police Department. The customer found he had overdrawn his account and told the teller, “I might have to rob a bank now.” The teller thought the man was joking.

Four high school students caused approximately $50 worth of damage inside a store on U.S. 93 North. An officer located the students at the school.

A passport was reported lost or stolen at the library.

Officers dealt with a man who refused to leave the entryway of a bar on U.S. 93 South.

Cars on Ruddy Duck Drive and Glenwood Drive were reportedly egged.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a scam by an Evergreen business on Swan Mountain Drive. The business received a call claiming to be from the credit card company that processes their payments saying they wanted to change out equipment. When the business’s employees called their contact at the company, they were told it was a scam and a similar thing had happened to a business in Great Falls.

A Stanley Springs Drive resident in Columbia Falls reported a suspicious man walking down the road wearing a trench coat and ski mask.

A parent reported a son for violating his probation after finding drugs in his room.

A pair of boys were assaulted by other children while getting out of a school bus.

A person parasailing was rescued by two people after falling through ice near Somers Road. He was in the water for 20 minutes before the people showed up to get him and his equipment out.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a person for partner or family member assault on Esters Lane in Polson.

A man was arrested for drug possession after deputies responded to a report of partner or family member assault on Blacktail Street in Polson.

Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a person for violating probation.

Criminal mischief was reported on Main Street.
