POLSON - It's been a good couple of days for the Polson Pirate wrestling team.

The Pirates followed a Thursday win over Flathead with a 51-26 Northwestern A victory on Friday over Frenchtown.

"We had a great turnaround. (The Broncs) beat us right before Christmas. We really dominated this one. Our kids just wrestled hard," said Polson coach Bob Owen.

"We're in better shape this time. We were winning all the scrambles and the close ones," the coach said.

Owen complimented the efforts of sophomore Tel Motichka at 145. Motichka just made the Pirate lineup this week.

"He had a good match tonight," Owen said.

He got into the third period "and outwrestled the guy. He just showed a lot of heart."

The Pirates are off now until Friday when they head to Ronan. They'll follow that with a trip to Whitefish and Columbia Falls on Saturday.
