Glacier Institute offers a wildlife course, “Winter Birds of Prey,” on Saturday.

Join Denny Olson (aka Critterman) on this day-long winter birders adventure.

After a short introductory session at Flathead Valley Community College, the group will head out in the Glacier Institute vehicle along the back roads of the Flathead Valley searching for raptors. Spend the day learning to differentiate ages and plumages of bald and golden eagles, and red-tailed and rough-legged hawks. Look for numerous species of owls, from snowy to great-horned.

An occasional short hike is likely during the day.

The course fee is $65.
