Foursome arrested for attempted burglary

Four people are in custody after an attempted burglary Monday afternoon at a home on Haywire Gulch in Kalispell.

According to Flathead County Undersheriff Jordan White, the homeowner arrived at his house to find two men he didn’t recognize leaving on foot with a backpack full of his tools. He tried to detain one of the men and wrestled him to the ground, but the man escaped.

When the first deputy responded, he spotted a vehicle matching the description of the getaway vehicle provided by the homeowner. Upon stopping the vehicle, he found some of the stolen tools and drugs inside, along with two men, a boy and a girl.

Timothy Lee, 28, Kalispell, was arrested for being an accessory to burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs. Shannon Powell, 43, Lakeside, was arrested for burglary, accountability to burglary, obstructing a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license. The two minors were arrested for burglary.

All of the stolen items were recovered.
