Search for dogs turns up car

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a person whose search for his friends’ dogs turned up more than just the canines. The person located the two dogs while driving over the bridge by Willow Glen and Conrad drives in Kalispell. One dog got in the car, but the other ran down by the river. When he followed it, he found an abandoned car over the bank, almost in the river. Information on the car and its owner were passed on to the Montana Highway Patrol.

A resident of Sunrise Terrace in Bigfork reported a man who is a registered offender has been taking walks at the same time that school buses are loading or unloading. Deputies have been unable thus far to make contact with the person who made the report to verify the information.

A pendant was reported stolen from a home on Blue Star Ranch Road in Kalispell.

A stereo was reported stolen from a vehicle and its doors left wide open on East Bowman Drive in Kalispell.

A GPS unit was reported stolen from a vehicle on Whitefish Stage Road in Kalispell.

Items were reported stolen from two unlocked vehicles on Arbour Drive in Kalispell.

A vehicle was reported burglarized and its doors left open on Country Way in Evergreen. Items from inside the vehicle were found on the ground outside.

Batteries were reported stolen from a vehicle on Amdahl Lane in Creston.

A gym bag was reported stolen from a vehicle on Garden Drive in Kalispell.

A referee got more than he bargained for in an incident during a basketball game on Northwest Lane reported to the Kalispell Police Department. According to the report, a player walked up to the referee during the game and sucker punched him.

A Fourth Avenue East resident returned home from work to find her apartment door open, with medication and soda missing. A woman was arrested and transported to the Flathead County Detention Center in connection with the crime.

A possible burglary was reported on West Center Street at a building where a window was found open.

Batteries were reportedly taken out of rock-crushing equipment at a construction site on Grandview Drive.

An unknown amount of cash was reported stolen from a vehicle on Seventh Avenue West.

A woman reported being assaulted by her boyfriend, who held her against a wall and squeezed her face.

A person was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia on Wolfpack Way.

Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department had to respond to an apartment where inconsiderate residents were shaking the walls of a neighbor two units away with loud music. According to the woman, the music had been blasted for three nights in a row. When she knocked on their door to try and get them to turn it down, she heard someone say, “Turn it up louder, and then we won’t hear them knocking.”
