Woman injured when vehicle leaves road
A woman was airlifted to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center after driving into a ditch and striking a tree Tuesday evening. According to Sgt. Steve Lavin with the Montana Highway Patrol, the woman drove off Montana 35 just south of the Dairy Queen in Bigfork for an unknown reason, going down a steep embankment and hitting the tree. Lavin said he is still trying to collect more information and to contact the registered owner of the vehicle.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an irate man on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell who got out of his car after the bumper fell off. He then slammed his dog into the door and broke his windshield with his hand and elbow. He was then seen trying to kick out the windshield.
A woman was arrested after a man reported he had been assaulted on Conrad Drive and suffered a cut behind his ear.
A motorist reported another woman driving by had yelled at her, flipped her off and “brake-checked” her.
A cabin on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse was broken into for the second time. The door had been kicked in last week and this time the board attached over the doorway was ripped off.
Two women were cited for theft and released on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

Someone broke into a shed containing thousands of dollars worth of reloading equipment and possibly guns.

The Kalispell Police Department received calls from an off-duty sergeant and the teenagers he was complaining about. In the first call, the sergeant reported the teens in a vehicle setting off an air horn at people and said he saw the car run a stop sign. The teens later called in and reported that an off-duty police officer pulled a gun on someone at Woodland Park, saying he was going to “cite him for being stupid.” Both parties were counseled and the officer’s complaint was deemed unfounded.
An employee of an East Idaho Street hotel reported a guest had been thrown in jail and that a maid later found spoons and crystal meth in a drawer in his room.
A pair of men were reported smoking marijuana on U.S. 93 North.
A Ninth Avenue West resident got home and found a stop sign in his yard. He was unsure who took it down and put it there. The sign was screwed back into place, but facing the wrong direction.
A group of four or five panhandlers were reported working tag team out of a van parked at Hutton Ranch Plaza. They were asked to move along.
