Thomas Mack Bell, 69

Thomas Mack Bell, 69, passed away from natural causes at the home of his brother, Britt, on March 1, 2012. 

Tom was born to Wesley Britton Bell and Clarice Bernice Sargent on March 21, 1942, in Kalispell.

After his high school graduation from Flathead High School in Kalispell, he attended LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas, where he graduated in 1965, with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.

Tom was a master mechanic and engineer. He worked at Mountain Logging designing log skidding equipment before becoming a freelance engineer.

Single all of his life, he resided at the home he built near Pressentine Bar until he could no longer care for himself, at which time he lived with his brother, Britt, in Columbia Falls.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Wesley, and his mother, Clarice. 

He is survived by his older brother, Mark Bell of Tensleep, Wyo., and his younger brother, Britton Bell of Columbia Falls.

After cremation his remains will be scattered during a private family gathering.

Arrangements are entrusted to Columbia Mortuary.
