Driver in accident at store found shopping inside

Sunday afternoon, officers with the Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident close to the front door of a store on Hutton Ranch Road. No one was hurt.

One man involved in the accident decided to go shopping, so police had to track him down inside the store.

Earlier Sunday, graffiti was reported on the back of a building on Second Street East.

A man on College Avenue told police someone tried to break into his home the night before. The man said his alarm system worked “very well” and no one gained entrance.

A smashed vehicle window was reported on Eighth Avenue East.

Two broken vehicle windows were reported on Eighth Street East.

Early Sunday morning, a man on Two Mile Drive told police he was assaulted by a female and two males. The man said his face was messed up, but he did not need an ambulance. An officer advised the man would fill out a statement when he was feeling better.

Someone reported a party at a house on Denver Avenue with loud music, cars racing up and down the street and a large bonfire in the front yard. Police advised the people there to shut the party down.

Shortly before midnight Saturday, the manager of a business on Woodland Park told police he had a drunk-and-disorderly man pinned down in the parking lot. An officer advised no charges and no need for medical assistance.

Earlier in the day, a caller reported damage done to a cable truck on Fourth Avenue East. An officer advised it may be related to the other criminal mischief complaints with broken mirrors.

A caller at a business on Ninth Avenue West asked police to escort a man off the premises. The man was reportedly drunk and being belligerent with blood all over his shirt. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

A man on East Idaho Street told police someone wrote a check on his account.

Saturday, a man on Seventh Street West told the Columbia Falls Police Department that his wife was going online and changing his passwords. Police advised there was nothing they could do.

A runaway male juvenile was found and returned home with his mother.

Someone reported a theft on Ninth Street West.

Sunday morning, an intoxicated pedestrian on Central Avenue was reported to the Whitefish Police Department.

Someone reported a burglary on Columbia Avenue.

Officers with Ronan Police Department arrested someone for partner family member assault in Acre Lawn Trailer Court early Saturday morning.

Police stopped a driver at Main Street and Third Avenue South West and arrested them for driving under the influence.

Polson Police Department officers investigated suspicious activity on First Street East Saturday morning.

That evening, police arrested someone for disorderly conduct at a video store.

Saturday evening, deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office investigated suspicious activity on North Reservoir Road.

Deputies arrested someone for criminal contempt on North Valley Creek Road.
