Area players named to all-tourney basketball teams

State runner-up Flathead had two basketball players selected to the Class AA boys all-tournament first team.

They are: George Sherwood, a 6-foot-5 senior forward/center, and Matt McLean, 6-2, senior, guard/forward.

Named to the all-tournment first team from Glacier was Ryan Edwards, 6-11, junior, center.

Glacier also had one individual named to the girls all-tournament second team — Cassidy Hashley, 6-1, sophomore, forward/center.

The AA boys and girls state tournaments were held in Bozeman last weekend at Montana State University.

Polson’s Riley Kenney, 5-10, senior, forward/center, was named to the Class A all-tournament second team.

The girls Class A state tournament was held last weekend at the Butte Civic Center.

Bigfork’s Taylor Peck, 5-6, senior, guard, was named to the Class B all-tournament team.

The girls Class B state tournament was held in Hamilton last weekend.
