<p>A crew from NorthWestern Energy works in the debris of a house that exploded killing one person on Friday afternoon in Kalispell. The explosion at 725 9th Avenue West happened just after 2 a.m.</p>

<p>Nathaniel Mycroft of Kalispell makes his way down the course in the novice class of the Giant Slalom event on Monday morning at Big Mountain. Mycroft was one of 284 athletes to compete in the Special Olympics Montana State Winter Games. Two competitors will advance to the 2013 World Winter Games in Pyeong Chang, South Korea.</p>

<p>Barrie Sugarman of Flathead and members of the combined Flathead and Bozeman band practices Sanctuary by Frank Ticheli on Monday afternoon in Kalispell. The festival concludes this evening with performances by the Percussion Ensemble, the Flathead/Bozeman band and the Glacier/Capitol band beginning at 7 p.m.</p>
