Agencies kept busy with accidents

Emergency personnel from the U.S. Forest Service, Kalispell Police Department, Montana Highway Patrol, Bigfork Fire Department and other agencies were kept busy throughout the day Saturday with several vehicle slide-offs and accidents due to winter weather conditions, including seven accidents between 12:41 p.m. and 1:44 p.m.

A pedestrian flagged down a passing officer with the Kalispell Police Department to report a window broken out of a vacant office on South Main Street.

A pedestrian turned in a wedding ring they found in a park.

A pair of boys were released to one of their mothers after being apprehended by officers who responded to a report of boys throwing glass bottles in the road.

A girl was released to her parents after an employee of the restaurant she was in on Ninth Street West reported that she had a cup with her that they believed had alcohol in it.

A Garland Street resident reported his mail was laying everywhere and some was missing, including a check that he should have received.

A pair of guns were reported stolen from a Sixth Avenue East North home.

A window was broken on a vehicle on 14th Street East for the second time.

Officers with the Polson Police Department cited a person for carrying a concealed weapon in a bank, where it is prohibited.

A person was arrested for obstructing a peace officer on Third Avenue West.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of an assault on East First Street.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of theft on 15th Street East.
