Richard Norman 'Dick' Flaa, 89

Lt. Col. United States Air Force (retired) Richard Norman “Dick” Flaa died peacefully at his home in Bigfork on Friday morning, March 23, 2012.

 As a career officer, he was proud to have served his country in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Flaa; his two daughters, Randi Flaa and Sandra Ravetto, both of Bigfork; his two sons, John Flaa of Fort Worth, Texas, and Patrick Flaa of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren, including the newest Patrick Flaa, born on the day he died.

Private family services were held on Sunday, March 25, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. The family plans to have Lt. Col. Flaa’s ashes interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
