Man ditches ankle bracelet, flees

A probation officer called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report a man had cut his ankle bracelet off and left, and should be arrested if found. The person, who was reported to be hitchhiking, also has a bench warrant out of Silver Bow County.

A Caroline Road resident in Kalispell scared away would-be robbers. She heard a loud bang as her back door flew open and ran toward the noise, but she was not able to see the robbers because it was dark.

A landlord found remnants of a marijuana grow operation on property on Seven Row in Somers.

A resident of Shady Lane in Evergreen heard a loud noise and glass breaking, and then discovered someone had shot out a window, possibly with a BB gun.

An Evergreen woman reported someone left her a voicemail asking for drugs. The call was later traced to Missoula.

Someone got into the fenced area of a property on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell before eventually finding a way inside the building, where the burglar discharged fire extinguishers and tore things up. There was evidence of alcohol at the scene.

A mailbox was smashed on West Cottonwood Drive in Evergreen.

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department responded to a home where five men with sticks were beating on the outside of the house, trying to get a resident to come outside because a girl had accused him of having sex with her while she was sleeping.

A Ninth Avenue West resident reported hearing an animal during the night. He believed the animal to be a coyote or wolf, then found his cat in the backyard bitten in half.

A woman reported that she had asked her landlord to fix her door and he has not, but her medication has turned up missing.

Officers arrested a very drunk 14-year-old boy on Airport Road before releasing him to his parents.

Someone cut the chain and opened a gate to a parking lot on Summit Ridge Drive.

A woman asked for extra patrols after hearing a man would be going around slashing tires.

A cellphone, CDs and other items were stolen from a car on Two Mile Drive, and gas had been siphoned out as well.

An iPhone and an iPod were stolen from a vehicle on Airport Road.

A downspout was stolen from a home on Camp Crooke Avenue.

A resident of Third Avenue East North reported to the Columbia Falls Police Department that she had people over at her house and fell asleep, and when she woke up several items had been taken.

Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a motorist on active warrants during a stop for a traffic crime near the high school.

A person was found to be in possession of drugs on Cherry Hill Court.

A vehicle was burglarized.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department arrested a motorist during a traffic stop on Spokane Avenue.

Drug activity was reported on East Fourth Street.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft at an auto repair shop.
