Son trades rifle for three-wheeler

A Tally Lake Road resident told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that her son traded her rifle for a three-wheeler without her permission. When she tried to get the rifle back, the person in possession of it made threats.

Copper wire was reported stolen from a gravel pit in the Jellison Lane area Monday.

There was a report of radio equipment and a navigation system being stolen from a rental vehicle off U.S. 2 in the Hungry Horse area.

There was a burglary at storage units off East Edgewood Drive in the Whitefish area, with a lock being broken and a lawnmower and other items being stolen.

A fuel line on a delivery truck was cut and diesel was stolen at a business on U.S. 2 West of Columbia Falls. The fuel line on the same truck was cut about two weeks ago.

A house was egged on Houston Drive in the Whitefish area.

There was a report of headphones being stolen from a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Someone reported the theft of a laptop computer from a vehicle on Little Mountain Road in the Whitefish area.

Gas was reportedly stolen from a moving truck on East Reserve Drive.

A parent calling from a Montana 35 address in the Bigfork area reported that a son took several videos to pawn. The parent requested that the son be prosecuted for theft.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of a woman wandering up and down Second Avenue West screaming “They’re invisible! They’re invisible!”

A report of a reckless, possible drunk driver turned out to be a woman who was playing with her iPod while driving. She was counseled and released.

A chihuahua was reported trapped in the basement of a house that had blown up.

A mall security guard turned in a bag of marijuana found by an employee of a clothing store.

A Sunny View Lane resident reported she found drugs, needles, a spoon, tin foil and baggies.

A person was captured on video stealing from a store on Hutton Ranch Road.

Real estate signs were vandalized on Valley View Drive.

A fence on North Main Street was spray painted.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a call from a man who wanted to turn himself in on active warrants from the Columbia Falls Police Department, Kalispell Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of theft on Lupfer Avenue.
