WHITEFISH — Kootenai Valley scored in every inning but the second and eighth to claim a 12-4 nonconference American Legion baseball victory on Saturday over the Glacier Twins A.

Kootenai Valley (8-1) scored three times in the first and fourth innings, twice in the fifth and seventh and once in the second and sixth.

The game was called after eight innings because of rain and poor field conditions.

Originally, this was scheduled as a doubleheader but, both coaches elected to play one nine-inning game because of the cold, damp weather.

Ryan Holder pitched five innings for Kootenai Valley, fanning 10 Twins batters.

Holder, Dalton Smith and Kade Davis combined on a 2-hitter.

CJ Henrie and Holder both went 3-for-4 at the plate and Nick Rackley was 2-for-2.

The Rangers had 10 hits.
