Mom requests parenting help

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from an East Evergreen Drive address regarding an out-of-control 10-year-old boy who locked his mother in a shed. She was able to get out, but the boy continued to be disobedient, and she wanted a deputy to talk with him.

The owner of a vacation home on North Ashley Lake called from Phoenix Sunday to report that he was using surveillance cameras to a monitor a strange man who was wandering around his hot tub there. The trespasser apparently took the hot tub cover off and then walked away.

There was a report from a U.S. 93 address south of Whitefish regarding a person who chastised a neighbor for exceeding a speed limit. When he did, the neighbor threw a handful of gravel on the reporting party’s car.

A Lodgepole Road resident reported finding a bedroom window broken, with guns and other items left on his front porch. The homeowner said he believes he surprised the thieves, prompting them to leave without the items on the front porch.

A Harmony Road resident reported a burglary in which someone got into the house through a back window and stole pain medication.

There was a report of a Suzuki four-wheeler stolen from an Addison Square address.

At about 4:40 a.m. Monday, a Lore Lake Road resident reported that her intoxicated boyfriend had threatened to “put her in a shallow grave” several times, and she wanted a deputy to respond. She eventually left to stay at a friend’s house.
