Fight loud music with louder music

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was drawn into a neighborhood dispute when called to a noise complaint on Gunsite Loop in Evergreen. The man was playing his radio too loud for his neighbor, but when he was approached by deputies, he said he was tired of his neighbor playing his music too loud. He told deputies he had previously been told there was no noise ordinance in effect at the property and “to buy a stereo and play music loud back at [his neighbor].” He was advised that disorderly conduct was still a criminal offense, and he agreed to turn his stereo down.

A fed-up neighbor reported residents on Parliament Drive in Evergreen for stockpiling garbage in their shed and outside that was starting to stink. The responding officer reported finding garbage all over the yard and piled up against a fence.

The friend of a 25-year-old woman taken to the emergency room for cuts, bruising and a possible broken arm reported the woman had been beaten up by her boyfriend.

A Helena Flats Road resident saw someone drive by her home in a blue Honda and try to hit her mailbox with a baseball bat.

A customer of a Rhodes Draw store was reported for coming in very drunk, and then leaving, driving a car with two children inside.

A passing motorist reported a woman leaning out of her vehicle and throwing up on U.S. 2 West in Kalispell.

A man was seen driving while drinking a Mike’s Hard Lemonade.

An Elk Park Road resident in Columbia Falls reported her dog was attacked, possibly by her neighbor’s dogs.

A man was arrested for stealing medication on Primrose Lane in Whitefish.

A dog was left tied up in front of a bar on U.S. 93 South in Lakeside.

A wallet was stolen on Montana 35 in Bigfork.

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department warned a man not to return to a local community center after he was reported for threatening a food court employee. He had recently been fired from the food court and threatened the employee so thoroughly she quit her job out of fear. The mall manager agreed to send written notification to the man that he is barred from the property.

A “huge smell of marijuana” was reported emanating from a Fifth Avenue East apartment.

A group of boisterous adults standing on an apartment balcony on Liberty Street were told to keep it down after a neighbor complained.

A man was arrested after officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance on Fifth Avenue West.

A Ninth Avenue West man reported someone threw a rock through the back window of his pickup truck.

A man reported receiving threatening messages on Facebook from his ex-wife and her boyfriend regarding his child being kidnapped.

An 18-year-old girl was sent text messages by a teenage boy threatening to kill her and her family.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department arrested a motorist during a traffic stop on Wisconsin Avenue.

A theft was reported on Lupfer Avenue.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a person on an out-of-county warrant while responding to a report of suspicious activity on Jocko Road.

A building on Blaine Street was burglarized.

Officers with the Ronan Police Department arrested a motorist for driving under the influence during a traffic stop on Round Butte.
