Bigfork will have to settle for individual honors this time around at the Class B state golf tournament today and Wednesday.

The girls will play Prior Creek Golf Course in Huntley while the boys will be at Eagle Rock Golf Course in Billings.

Bigfork has qualified no teams, just three players — Sara Keenan, Dylan Carlson and Lars Gittings.

Keenan, a senior, finished third at divisionals with an 82. She shot 79-85—164 to tie for fifth last year at state. Her opening round score had her in third place and just three shots off the pace.

This spring, she has won invitational titles at St. Regis and Seeley-Swan.

Carlson, a sophomore, placed 12th at divisional to advance.

The top 15 individuals qualify for state.

Gittings, a freshman, shot 83 to place eighth at state. He shot a 77 earlier this spring to win the St. Regis tournament.

Bigfork’s Blake Weimer, who placed 14th at state last year, missed out this year. The junior shot an 84 at divisional, which left him one stroke away from 15th place.
