WHITEFISH — An offensive show.

The Glacier Twins (3-11) racked up 14 hits en route to a 11-1 American Legion baseball victory Wednesday over the visiting Libby Loggers at Memorial Field.

Carl Talsma was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI, Robert Simmons was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Jake Slaybaugh was 2-for-5 with two RBI in the nonleague win.

Talsma doubled in the fifth and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Also hitting doubles for Glacier were Connor Donohue and Nathan Carr.

Meanwhile, Garrett Houston turned in a stellar performance on the mound.

He gave up one hit, had no earned runs, walked three and struck out five in five innings of work.

Cory Davis pitched the final two innings.

Glacier scored two runs in the third to break open a scoreless tie.

Libby briefly cut the Glacier lead to one run when it scored in the top of the fourth.

Luke Haggerty walked, then scored on Glacier’s one error of the day.

The Twins answered — and then some — as they continued to pile up the runs, adding two in the fifth and sixth innings, then four more in the bottom of the seventh.

“We’re starting to come together,” Twins coach Scott Murray said. “We’re getting all of our players back and playing together as a team.”

Oliver Grupenhoff and Jared Winslow each had a single for the Loggers.

Next up for the Twins is this weekend’s Canadian Days in Kalispell.

The Loggers will head to Eureka to take on the Kootenai Valley Rangers at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday.
