Bob Warner, 69

| May 19, 2012 5:25 PM

Bob Warner, 69, left this life on May 12, 2012, after a strong and valiant fight with cancer. He was surrounded by the people he loved most in this world — his wife, his four children and his seven siblings.

Bob was born on Dec. 1, 1942, in Plymouth, Ind., to William and Harriet Warner. He was the oldest of their eight children. Bob spent his formative years in famed Waseca, Minn.

Bob left Waseca to join the Air Force in 1960. After serving nine years and two tours in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged. Bob then took up residence in California and got in on the computer industry in its infancy.

Bob and Mary cultivated a wonderful life in Boulder Creek, Calif., where they raised their children and made many friends through his Little League and soccer coaching.

In 1996, Bob and Mary relocated to Kalispell. Here he practiced the arts of fly fishing, camping and lawn mowing.

Bob was a complicated and quiet man. He valued the simple pleasures in life and took notice of the little things. His humor was a gift in times of struggle.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, and their children and spouses, Benjamin and Rebecca Warner of Clovis, Calif., Daniel Warner of Seattle, Marcus and Chelsie Warner of Pensacola, Fla., and Gretchen and Glenn Brown of Kalispell; as well as his grandchildren, Hagan, Lorelei, Ethan, Isaac, Annalise, William and Raelee. He is also survived by his seven siblings, and also by his 90-year-old mother, Harriet Warner.

His family is asking donations in memoriam be made to the Liberty House at the Veteran's Administration at Fort Harrison. Donations can be mailed to Liberty House, P.O. Box 81, Fort Harrison, MT 59636.
