The Glacier Twins improved to 2-1 after two days of action in the Canadian Days American Legion baseball tournament at Griffin Field on Saturday.

The Twins lost to the Edmonton Cardinals 11-6 in a morning contest, but bounced back with a 7-4 late afternoon victory over the Calgary Redbirds.

Glacier (5-12) has won five of its last six games.

“We’re staring to play together as a team,” Glacier coach Scott Murray said.

“And, we’re hitting the ball much better.”

Edmonton used a seven-run second inning to take command. In the outing with Calgary, Glacier scored twice in both the first and second innings.

“That’s huge,” Murray said of the fast start. “(Then) we’re not digging our way out of (a hole).”

Glacier will be in action today.
