Eureka falls to Glasgow in opener
ANACONDA — Glasgow jumped on Eureka early, scoring seven runs in the first inning and two more in the second en route to an 11-1 first-round victory at the State Class B/C softball tournament on Thursday.
Glasgow pitcher Shyla Bergtoll held Eureka to just two hits.
Hannah Price and Jamie Soderline had the hits for Eureka.
Glasgow banged out 13 hits. Scotties catcher Mariah Stein went 3-for-3, as did Abby Dalbey.
Kenady Hall had two hits for the victors.
The Lions drop into a loser-out game today with Ronan at noon.
In the winners bracket, Glasgow plays Conrad and Florence faces Mission. Those games start at 10 a.m.
