Dogs at heart of dispute
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a North Mission Trail resident who said that her mother’s ex-boyfriend drove up, loaded up her two dogs and left. When the man was later located, he said the dogs were his. Even though she wanted him prosecuted for trespassing, she was advised that it was a civil matter.
A woman calling from First Avenue South in Hungry Horse reported that her ex-husband stole her cellphone.
A Managhan Lane resident reported witnessing poachers shoot a deer in a field. When they were yelled at, they left in a red truck that the reporting party managed to photograph.
A person calling from Conrad Drive reported witnessing “weird things flying in formation” over the cemetery. The objects were reportedly slow moving and then they disappeared into the clouds.
Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday from a woman who said her daughter was driving in a field in the Mosquito Flats area when a man wearing black and a mask jumped in front of her. When she stopped to check on the person, he attempted to grab her. She kicked at him and was able to get back in the vehicle and leave.
After a traffic stop on West 13th Street Sunday, Whitefish Police arrested a woman, but the charge was unclear.
