Five Flathead spikers 1st team All-State
State runner-up Flathead High School dominated the Class AA volleyball postseason honors announced Sunday with five players named to the All-State first team.
State champion Billings Senior had just two first-team selections.
Bravettes honored were: seniors Cassie Krueger, outside hitter; Kwyn Johnson, opposite/right side hitter; and Emily Russell, setter; and juniors Emma Andrews, defensive specialist; and Iris Matulevich, libero.
The only position Flathead did not have a first-teamer was middle hitter.
Glacier had two girls named to the second team — junior Cassi Hashley, middle hitter; and sophomore Hannah Liss, setter — and three named honorable mention — seniors Rachel Chery, opposite/right side hitter; Tiffany Marks, middle hitter; and Kailea Vaudt, libero.
