Elaine Clairmont, 52

Elaine Clairmont, 52, passed away at her home in Polson on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, after a long battle with brain cancer.

Elaine was born on Jan. 18, 1960, in Polson. She attended Polson Schools and graduated from Polson High School in 1978.

Elaine worked in Polson at several area businesses. Radio Shack and Regatta Pizza were some of the jobs that she enjoyed the most. She was also an avid quilter and was a member of the Mission Mountain Quilt Guild, and she also sewed several items and donated them to the Shriners Hospital in Spokane. Elaine was also a member of the Mystic Chapter No. 53 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Elaine is survived by her husband Daniel M. Clairmont, and her parents Fay and Sonny Addington, all of Polson; sons, Malden of Joliet, Ill., and Matthew who is serving in the Coast Guard in Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Chris Tomayer, of Guatemala; brothers, Alvin “Butch” McKay of Anchorage, Alaska, Dee McKay of Polson, and Bud McKay of Bigfork; and two grandchildren, Nick and Bradley.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
