Discuss American painter with Art History Club

Stumptown Art Studio’s Cultural and Art History Club celebrates its first anniversary Tuesday.

The club will meet from 10 a.m. to noon at the studio, 145 Central Ave., Whitefish. This month’s discussion will center around Mary Cassett, an American impressionist painter from the early 1900s.

The club rotates general topics at its monthly meetings. In November, the group will discuss European artist Lucian Freud. World artists Frida Kahlo and Deigo Rivera are up for discussion in December.
