Hakaru “Hank” Nouchi, 75

Hakaru “Hank” Nouchi, 75, died at Wahiawa General Hospital on Sept. 6, 2012, following an extended illness.

He was born July 20, 1937, in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, to Sotaro and Tari Nouchi. 

He resided in Hawaii most of his life, with the exception of a few years in Trego, which he always spoke fondly of.

Hank will be remembered as a generous man who had a great sense of humor and carefree love of life. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, listening to Frank Sinatra and drinking beer with friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, daughter Truly Streng and Russell, son Marc Nouchi and Misty, daughter Christy Bradley and Alan, and son Matthew Nouchi; nine grandchildren, siblings and extended family. 

He was preceded in death by sons, Rory and Anson Nouchi.

Following a private service, interment will be at The Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific in Oahu, Hawaii.
