'Trespasser' causes dock dispute

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a call Sunday from Lodgepole Drive in the Marion area regarding a dispute over a dock. The reporting party said the dock was lent to a neighbor about 10 years ago, but another neighbor, a “trespasser,” has been using it recently. When she moved the dock back to her property, the trespasser came over and took it back. She was advised that it is a civil matter.

A man calling from Dun Movin Lane in the Kalispell area reported that his sister is being threatened by another man and he is concerned about her safety.

A person calling from Tahoe Drive reported the theft of an iPhone, possibly by an ex-roommate.

A woman calling from Kings Loop reported that an ex-roommate was going through her vehicle and she was afraid that he would attempt to break into her house. A responding deputy ended up arresting the man on a misdemeanor warrant.

There was a report from Creek Side Court about a garage and car being broken into. It was unclear if anything was stolen.

A man called from Oakmont Loop in the Columbia Falls area to report that his grandmother caught a house guest stealing and she wanted help getting the person to leave. It turned out there was a physical altercation between the grandmother’s husband and the house guest, and the grandson was concerned because she was in the house.

There was a report of a sexual assault on a juvenile boy on East Evergreen Drive.

There was a report of an emotionally disturbed teenage girl assaulting a person on Spring Creek Drive, an incident that led to her being arrested.

A person calling from Pioneer Road in the Kalispell area said there were people on motorcycles and a four-wheeler trespassing on the property. The property owner was very upset when notified that trespassers would not be cited. He asked what would happen if he broke their legs with a baseball bat and was informed that he would be arrested for assault, which made him even more upset.

A pilot reported that while he was flying a small aircraft over the Foy’s Lake area, he was blinded by someone shining a laser at aircrat, which made it difficult for him to fly.

A man reported that he was assaulted by another man at a location on Montana 35 in Evergreen, and that the man who pummeled him had left the area.

Early Monday, at about 1:40 a.m., a woman calling from a bar on Electric Avenue in Bigfork reported that she witnessed things that led her to believe that people were being drugged at the bar.

A man called from the area of Krause Basin Road at about 2:40 a.m. to report that he was lost and he feared that an animal might sneak up on him. It turned out that the man was homeless and a deputy gave him a ride into Kalispell.

Kalispell Police got a report Saturday regarding a man being caught shoplifting at a store in Hutton Ranch Plaza.

A woman reported a theft of $630 from her vehicle while it was parked at a store in the Hutton Ranch Plaza area.

There was a report from Fourth Avenue West regarding an iPod being stolen from a book bag.

Early Sunday, at about 1:30 a.m., a woman reported that her car keys were stolen on Woodland Drive and she needed assistance in unlocking her car.

There was a report of a fight in the parking lot of a bar on Airport Road.

There was a report of three teenagers taking pumpkins off a porch and throwing them in the driveway of a home on Hilltop Avenue.

A woman calling from Appleway Drive reported that her she and her boyfriend had been fighting and he was threatening her and her child as she attempted to move out. The man was arrested for partner-family member assault.

There was a report of kids throwing things at cars as they passed by on U.S. 93 South.

A man calling from Belmar Drive reported that people have been trespassing on his property and putting up unwanted “Republican” signs. He was told he can dispose of the signs as he sees fit.

Columbia Falls Police got a report of windows being shot at with a BB gun Sunday on Ninth Street West.
